Bare Faced or Not

Well, I don't have anymore makeup products to recommend.  I am using up lots of samples of things that are simply whatever like face setting powder, bronzer, and mascara.  I occasionally use e.l.f. eyeshadow primer which I'm not sure is effective.  I do switch up my makeup, but because I never wear much, the pictures I take look very much the same.  Is this the end of Makeup Monday?  I don't know.  You mind if we just talk about makeup instead?
I am wearing makeup in this post.  Can you tell?

I know some women who will not leave the house until they have their full face on.  That is fine by me.  It's their life.  They can do whatever makes them feel the most confident and comfortable.  But when an ad's copy asks "Do you dare to go bare?" to sell nude eyeshadow palettes, I wonder can or do you go around bare faced?  Is it even an option?

Of course you should be able to, since there is no rule that says that all women MUST wear makeup when out in public, but then I remember a high school experiment when one of the teachers did not allow girls to wear makeup for a day.  Girls apologized for their appearance or dashed from class to class for fear of being seen.  I know one girl didn't show up to school at all that day.  But at that point, I'm not sure if they are using makeup as a tool or if they are enslaved by it.

Personally, I only began to enjoy makeup when it stopped being a mandatory step of my morning routine.  When I give my skin a break, then the days that I do wear makeup become welcome opportunities for me to try a different look and play with my options.  I realize that makeup is a different thing for everyone.  For me, it is a toy.  Something that doesn't have rules and is fun to experiment with.  For others it may be something you employ out of social obligation, like wearing a bra.  So, what is makeup for you?
