Don't Give Up

It's April now, which means that three months have passed already and we are a quarter of the way done with 2015.  In the past, I didn't pay attention to the months passing, so my birthday or the new year always caught me by surprise.  This year, I made smart goals so I'm keeping myself accountable and looking back as well as forward.  How are you guys doing with your resolutions if you made any?  There are still nine months left so don't give up!

When you can't find something, what do you do?  You look for it.  And if you can't find it within ten minutes, do you give up?  Sure, if it's something like scissors or bobby pins, you can go to the store and buy more.  But when it's something non-disposable, you keep looking right?  Even when it takes weeks.  You keep double checking the same places and secretly praying and hoping that it will show up.  And eventually it does.  I always tell my mum, I don't lose things.  I misplace  them.

Ms. Noel suggests that we treat our goals the same way as a lost item.  Don't give up, because it isn't easy or convenient.  Continually pursue your goals.  It's estimated that "the average person spends over fifty hours each year looking for lost items."  Imagine what you could accomplish if you spent an equivalent amount of time working towards your dreams.

Can you imagine losing this little guy?  And think of how happy you would be when you find him!

And if you tend to lose things often, might I suggest spring cleaning like I did a few weeks ago?

  1. I love this! It's so, so true. It's so funny that you made this post, I was actually just talking with someone about how I'm really bad about letting myself get discouraged because I'm so impatient for results to happen immediately and when they don't (which they won't, because that isn't realistic) I get frustrated, and that kinda makes you want to give up. I'm trying to learn patience. ;P I've definitely learned that you just have to push on anyway and stop doubting things so much!

  3. I'm definitely a results-oriented person myself so lots of times I wish I could fast forward to a resolution and get over the hard parts. We just gotta take it one step at a time! :)

  6. That's a great habit! Sadly, my room is back in its usual organized clutters.
